Happy hump day ladies!
What languages do you speak?
English and a little French. I use to be pretty fluent in it but I took it for granted because I didn't want to speak the language when I learned it. Now as an adult, I wish I had not taken it for granted!! Everyday we had to say a sentence and I always said the same thing, "Je detest La Francais!"
English of course, ein bisschen Deutsch, et un peu français. (a little German and a little French). And by a little I mean very little. I understand French more than I can speak it and I can speak it better then German. But I have this fascination with the German language. DH spent a semester there and I'm constantly having him teach me phrases.
I took four years of high school French, and got an A in all four classes...but I speak very little! I can understand and read it pretty well, but not speak. That's what happens when your teacher is going through a divorce from another teacher at the same school and doesn't mind talking about it at all! We got her off-track so much and talked her into lots of 'bagel runs' to the Hy-Vee across the street...LOL. Hindsight is 20/20 :)
English only. I know a little spanish but not enough to get me by.
I only speak English fluently, but could get by in French if I had to.
English only, but I managed in "Travelers" Spanish, French & Italian when I visited those countries...
Pretty much English only. I took spanish in high school so I can get by, but I really wish I would have stuck with it and continued.
oh wow, I didn't know so many of you were interested in French! that's awesome. You are all welcome to practice with me lol; French is my native language and I also speak English and enough spanish to keep an elementary level conversation. I am super fascinated by Greek and italian though... :)
I took Spanish in high school, but I really only speak English.
English and a little Spanish. want to learn fluent Spanish, Italian, and French
I speak english obviously, French and little tiny bit of german!
I speak german, english and french fluently and a bit of italian :-)
English only. I would love to be able to speak Spanish
I know only a few words in German that my aunt taught me years ago, and I took 2 years of French in high school (I have both French & German in me). To this day, I still call my mom "mon amie"... I hardly ever call her "mom".
ooh good question!! I am fluent in both English and American Sign Language. =]
