Well, we both are in different ways. I am in charge of paying the bills and managing current finances. He stratagies and plans for future projects.

Me - absolutely 100% me!!

FI's car died on Tuesday so we need to get a new one very quickly (or we can't all get to our wedding!!) and he thought we spent around $500 less each month on bills etc than we actually do - which is why he has stopped looking at the top-of-the-range models finally!!!! Lol

I would say that we are equal. We work together with everything, try too anyways.

Honestly, its hard to say. Im better at money management though, like saving money and investing it. But when we want to make a purchase, hes better at finding better bargains. So I am in charge of keeping the money, then I hand it over to him when the time to make a purchase comes..

He is - he's a saver, I'm a spender in general, although over the years I've learned to "tame" that impulse somewhat and put money away too.  We collaberate on big purchases.

We're both completely equal when it comes to money...and he's an accountant (auditor)!

But every once in a while, he gets the urge to splurge on something and I have to talk him out of it! Lol. Like a new TV or an autographed baseball. *rolls eyes* So, I guess in that case, I'm a little better with money b/c I don't splurge or even get the urge as often as he does. Haha.

I think I'm better with money. I can save even when we are skimping by. Although I do shop more than him, I know when I can shop and when I shouldn't, so I guess that's ok!! lol. On the other hand, he is getting better, but last year he made a good amount more than me, and still didn't save as much...still not sure where his money went...haha

Haha... he is totally! I just got a "talk" for my irresponsibility with money -I just can't save at all. I feel like I get in trouble from my dad when we discuss money matters lol ;)

I think equally. We haven't changed the cards to have my name but we don't really spend outside our means.

Funny this comes up. We were discussing this today. We wont live together until December. We both believe we should be equally involved in finances. I'm a budgeter and he loves that. We will keep a list of everything that has to be paid every month. After that's all paid a set percentage will go into savings. Any decision to use savings will be a mutual decision. Part of it we wont touch at all the other we will use on vacations or emergencies or just something we want. (A hot tub is on our list lol)

We are both use to being on an allowance from our past and we WILL NOT do that to each other. I've already got our budget done from now until our one year Anniversary. Being able to pay for birthdays, holidays, our wedding at $15-20K, our honeymoon and our anniversary trip we will still have over $25,000 sitting in savings.

I am also a couponer. Not extreme but I use them as much as possible.
