Guest List :: who to invite guide

*sigh* I wish it were this easy! For me this would have worked for some guests but not so much for others. How are your guest lists coming? SOURCE

Really its an very important to plan our wedding as if we couldn't planned our wedding than it will not work properly, and while deciding the guests list to whom we have to do send card or to whom we don't want to invite..this will definitely waste your time....so its better to get prepare from starting.

I have a guy friend that I used to be extremely close with, but a new girlfriend in the picture pretty much ended that friendship. I want to invite the guy, but I don't want this girl (whom I have never met) there. I dont want to pay $110 extra for someone I resent, not to mention give up one of my limited seats for her! Maybe this sounds petty, but it's how I feel!

@Diana_angela--I totalyl understand you! It's your wedding and if you don't want her there then don't invite her. Then it'll be on this friend to decide what is more important (and hopefully suck it up for a day). We chose not to invite +1 unless there were certain circumstances. I suggesmaybe setting a rule, that way no one feels slighted. We decided that +1 invites only went to people in serious, committed relationships, and by that we meant together for 6+ months by invite time. Would that work here?

This has been such a tricky one for me. I feel kind of guitly cause I have a HUGE family and H2B doesn't. We have have loads of mutual friends, and he gets on really well with my family, but does it matter that I'll probably end up having far more guests there than him?

@ happy_bride2b - I had the same issue with DH, his immediate family is 4 and mine was 17! We didn't worry about 'his guest' vs 'my guests' just about making sure the people most important to us were there and at the ceremony people sat anywhere so it wasn't obvious that he only had 4 family members
