Has anyone foregone the guestbook? I am contemplating it.
i havent seen anything that i am sold on yet. i do like the calendar where you sign your name on ur birthday (good way for me to be able to send cards out), or have polaroids taken of guests for an album (bc who doesnt want to laugh at uncle tony 20 yrs from now when he used to have hair... jk no uncle tonys). i havent talked to fi about it yet... but nothing has grabbed me so far.
We did a fingerprint tree and we love the finished product, we are framing it for the family room as a centerpiece :)
surfing Pinterest as we speak. I am so addicted to pinterest lol.
@sol8145-I honestly don't think it's a big deal to forego the guest book. If you happen to find an idea you love, then go for it! But if you don't, then I'd say skip it.
Welcome to PW! We had just a regular traditional guestbook! Definitely don't really have too but I love looking back at mine and seeing all the people who came and signed :)
@Julie9, I know what you mean. We had a guestbook, nothing fancy, just a normal notebook. Plus, my colleagues at work individually signed a huge greeting card and addressed it to us. I screamed when I opened it and saw the comments. Ill cherish that greeting card for as long as it lasts.
I dont want to forego the guestbook :-( i want them to write little notes of encouragement and blessings and also i will need to know all who were there so i can properly send thank you notes to those who actually were there!
