I am looking for the best Hair & Makeup For my wedding day in New Jersey. I like M.A.C makeup and want a updo. Help me please.
Have you tried talking to the people that work at MAC counter in dept stores? I used to work for Nordstrom, and I am using a girl that worked in cosmetics there. Its worth a shot. I know majority of them usually do freelance work and weddings on the side. As far as hair, what part of Jersey are you in?
The wedding is in west Orange N.J. and I have very curly and hard to do hair. I did go to the mall to the M.A.C. counter and I did not meet any one that impress me. I think it's the mall that I went to. I use to live in New York city and when I use to go to the M.A.C. counters in Manhattan and they were fabulous. I also get the funny face when I tell them that my wedding is on a Sunday. Most of the Hair & make-up pro's don't want to work on a Sundays.
Hmmm....Im from central NJ so youre kinda far from me to really give you recommendations on hair salons. Which mall/store did you go to? What about going to the MAC counter in NY and asking if they can come to you? Especially since you already know that they are awesome, and youre comfortable with their technique. West Orange isn't all that far from NY, and I know most makeup artists do travel for weddings.
Joel - There are a lot of nice salons in Montclair - you should check it out maybe they make special exceptions for brides? - here are a few:

Depending on where you are getting married, have you asked the venue, if they possibly could recommend someone?
ps (are you getting married at the highlawn or the manor?) (My FI works @ the manor - a la carte side, not banquet) - was just curious :)
