hand regimen?

A friend of mind told me that your hands are photographed a ton during your wedding. I'm just wondering... does that mean I should get a manicure the day before? Also, what about those little hairs on the back of the hands and knuckles? Should I remove those too and how do I do that? Thanks in advance!

I would get a manicure. You can get something very natural that doesn't look like a manicure if this isn't something you do a lot. They could even just buff them for you. I get manicures monthly, but I use a very light polish that looks very natural.

I wouldn't worry about those little hairs. They probably won't be noticeable.

I would definately get a manicure too. If anything, it'll make your cuticles look fabulous and a clear polish or even just a good buffing will look really good in the photos. I plan to get a manicure the day before the wedding, but I'll do either a clear polish or a very pale pink. I'm not a fan of putting color on my fingernails.

If any hairs bother you in the photo proofs you get from the photographer, ask him/her to photoshop them out. If they're any good with photshop, it should be pretty easy.

If the photographer does a lot of ring and bouquet shots, it will definitely show your hands so you will definitely want to get a manicure the day before. As for the little hair on the back of the hand and knuckles, I shave those every other week. You can easily do that with a razor.

Here are some of the "hand" shots that my photographer captured - I had blue hibiscus painted on my acrylic nails to match my wedding color:

I use an awesome product called instant manicure by beauticontrol. It is an exfoliant for your hands. You have to get it from a consultant, but it is worth it.

I bought some gloves from Sephora that work really well for dry hands! I think they're blue and from Bliss(?). I used to spill tons of chemicals on my hands in lab (college) and my skin got really dry and cracked so bad it started bleeding. I used the gloves a few times a week and my skin was back to normal. =)
