Are you having assigned seating for your reception or will you let your guests pick their own seats?
I let the guest pick out their own seats, it seemed alot easier that way. But I did reserve a few tables for the "family"
Habibi doesn't want to do assigned seating and I'm ok with that. I do want to do a family reserved table though. As long as I can have my ceremony seating the way I want to I'm absolutely fine with him having our loved ones pick their seats.
I played around with table arrangements for awhile and then decided I didn't want the hassle! I let everyone pick their own seat and there were no problems. That means I could cross seating chart, table numbers and place cards off my list, it was nice :)
Our guest did not have assigned seating. They sat where they felt comfortable!
I'm having assigned seating since I want my guests to feel comfortable and be with people they know but I love the freedom of not having assigned seating.
I'm not going to do assigned seating. Our wedding will be small and mostly family so most everyone will know each other anyway. The only thing that I probably will do is have a "special" table reserved for me and my FH and whoever else sits with us.
we had a small wedding and reserved family tables and wedding party table, but the other tables were left open for guests to sit where ever. we didnt have "sides" at our wedding either, except for the family.
I was going to not do it, but my venue request color coded cards based on food choices so I have to. :/ I wish I could have cut that off the list.
