Im looking for relaxation. So which island should I go?? Thanks =)
i've heard that kauai is very remote and relaxing, but i've never been. we went to maui and i thought it was very relaxing as well. we spent a lot of time at the resort on the beach.
kaui or lanai
Just not Oahu... I've been, and it's beautiful! But it's much more like the mainland as opposed to an island getaway!
Kauai is beautiful. Its where we got engaged. I would recommend staying in the princeville area. It has the small island feel and has enough fun tourist stuff to do but no real big city atmosphere.
Kaui is beautiful and relaxing...not as much as a nightlife as maui or oahu. Maui is a good inbetween.
Kauai hands down. There is honestly nothing else on the island to do but relax. So if you want some sort of nightlife, I wouldn't recommend it. Oahu is completely touristy and seemingly not what you are looking for. Maui I've heard is a nice mix but I've never been.
I've only been to Oahu. I stayed outside Honolulu (in Kailua), and it was lovely. Just beach and cocktails. (You would be doing more rent-a-house or rent-a-condo than getting a hotel room, though.)
My friends LOVE Maui. And Kaui seem amazing.
My aunt who goes every year recommends Maui for relaxation :)
I second the opinion stated above...probably not Oahu if you're looking for total relaxation - it's more for night life and traditional tourism stuff. Try Maui and Kauai instead.
Maui. By far.
Definitely Kauai!! It's soooo peaceful and its not super touristy like Oahu and the big island.
I hear the Big Island is... :)
I'm partial to Maui (obviously), but I've heard wonderful things about Kauai and the big Island as well- just haven't been to those yet.
KAUAI'I for sure! My hubby and I went there for our HM and loved it. We've been to Big Island and Maui as well. The resorts ritzier on Maui and it's gorgeous there but it is more touristy. The Big Island is incredible too you can see lava flowing the same day you see snow atop Mauna Kea!
Kauai is more intimate and I feel you get more of the Hawaiian feel. It is so lush and green and there are waterfalls and untouched land everywhere. We took a helicopter tour and saw 4000 foot waterfalls literally coming out of the clouds- it was breathtaking! The Na Pali coast is AMAZING and you can only reach it by boat or air. The Wailua river tour is awesome... it reminded me of Jurrasic park being in the middle of the jungle like that! There were gorgeous views everywhere and endless rainbows =) If you're the adventurous types def check out Kauai!!!
Our travel agent said Kauai or Maui
Kauai or Maui...Maui has the best of both worlds...great restaurants and nightlife, beautiful scenery too!
Maui and I've heard Kauai. Oahu and the big island are touristy.
