We're having a local NY jew-ish wedding..lol. Basically all the traditions without the orthodoxy. I actually got the Anita Diamant book, which explains all of the Jewish wedding traditions, and now I am even more excited to have the meaning because everything we do is so symbolic :)

How much of a "destination" is it? We are from DC, and had our wedding near Boston, and things weren't that much different. However, if you are going to another country, you may well find that customs are different.

I'm doing many traditions from Ireland as well as I am very Irish as well,  though on some levels mine is completely un-American, it is just usish.  I don't know how to really explain it.

Our wedding is in St. Thomas, VI so the planning has been by email/phone. I have more people coming than expected but hey thats fine . Our Rabbi is retired in St. Thomas, VI and preforms Jewish ceremonies for couples getting married on the Island.

I am just in shock that I leave in 71 days (countdown clock )lol
