Help!! discoloration on dress

Last night I went for my first fitting of my mother of the bride dress.   After I had the alterations I'm putting the jacket back on the hangar I notice discoloration along both top shoulders of my dress.  Now I don't know what to do.  The wedding is Sept. 28th.  Do I order another dress or should I keep this one and see if they can refund some of the money back to me?  I paid $280.00 for this dress!!  Anhyone else had this happen or know someone with a similar problem?  What would cause this?  In my opinion I think it's aging.

Oh I am so sorry to hear this! How long have you had the dress?

I purchased the dress in May and I haven't taken it home yet.  It's been in the bridal salon.  The bridal salon has a couple of seamstresses.  I probably won't be taking home the dress until a week or so before the wedding.  I'm really freaking out about this.  This weekend my spouse is going in for his measurements for his tux I'll talk to someone then.

You purchased the dress this past May and it has discolored already? Normally when I purchase ivory dresses or white dresses, they may discolor after a year or more if I am not wearing it consistently. I definitely think you should speak to someone in the store so they can make some sort of compensation or replace the dress since it was stored at the bridal salon.

Wow, how could it already be discolored? A $280 dollar dress shouldn't be discolored if it was just hanging at the bridal salon, back from MAY!! I agree with tressy, definitely talk to someone about it, see if their is anything they can do to help??
