HELP!: e-session location issue

FI and i are having our wedding on may 15, 2011. we met with our photographer, and although he would usually charge much more for this, he agreed to drive two hours with us to our special location for engagement photos at no extra charge. this location (tahoe city) has a lot of sentimental value for us because it was there that we became official boyfriend/girlfriend, and it was also there that FI proposed to me. in addition, it is BEAUTIFUL! FI and i need to take our engagement photos soon to send out with the invites, and at this time, there is snow in Tahoe City (it is up in the mountains). my question is: will it look funny to have the photos in our invites in a wintery setting for a spring wedding?

FI came up with this idea of us going up to tahoe city for engagement photos and he sounds very excited about it, and i was also very excited about it until i began to wonder the question i asked above. i was also wondering if maybe there is any way to make the photos more "spring-y" in tahoe city? i don't want to shoot down FI's idea...

i appreciate all opinions and help! tia! :]

Hmm...I am not familiar with the area, so I am not sure. I think the pics in the snow would be gorgeous, but I see what you mean about the message the winter STD could send. What is the snow season there? Could you use some other photo for (or do a non-photo) STD, and then do your e-pics in the spring? Then maybe you could display some of your e-pics at the wedding or use them in a guest book.

Sorry if I am not much help! This would be a tough decision for me, too! Maybe some of the other girls can offer their opinions (?)

traditionally in the russian culture (and probably in many other's), we include [a] photo[s] in the invitation. it's a very important part of the invitation. for me personally, it just seems too bare without a photo as well. we would be able to do our e-session photo shoot elsewhere, but this place is sooo special and beautiful so i was hoping that maybe it would be fine?

Tahoe is sooo beautiful!  Maybe you can do some there and then also try Old Sacramento, maybe around the capitol, the library downtown (has a beautiful lobby area).  How about Apple Hill?

Dittos VheartsM.  When we had our e-session, we did it in the Summer when it was still stinkin' hot.  We just got married on the 30th of October, Fall, which doesn't really change a lot here in LA.  But we didn't try to match our e-pics to the date of our wedding though.  I don't think there are any rules about that... is there?
