HELP ME!!! Isle runner DIY 911!!

I have my isle runner ready to paint and go. I know I have to use the projector and all.


But, what kind of paint do I use????  will it dry and wrinkle the fabric??  HEEELLLLPPP!!!!

I don't know the answer, but if you have a JoAnn's or a Michaels or another art supplies store, their staff should be able to help you select the right paint, as long as you tell them what type of paper or fabric you are painting on.

There was another girl on here who already got married. She painted her own isle runner to. I sent her a PM but have not heard back from her.  Just can't remember her name.  She had a different name.. Aur..something or another and her FI Aaron??    she did a great job on it.  She had pictures of her projector and using two tones of paint.  My only concern is "Wrinkling" when it dries.

I just did my aisle runner last night -- I just used some metallic paint I found at Michaels.  It didnt wrinkle the fabric. Hope this helps I'll post pictures once its finished.

I made one, but the runner I bought was from Michaels, and is kind of like a thin nylon material.  ( it was cheap :oP )  I just used acrylic paint.  Since your runner is fabric, I would suggest maybe some type of fabric paint.  Could you sacrifice a small strip of your runner to do a test run?  (Just cut off a small strip at the end of your runner and test both types of paint there.)

I think you should be fine using acrylic paint though

O.K update. I found a screen printer to do it for me. It will be done tomorrow!!! Yes, it cost $100 but I have so much to do an only 6 weeks to do it. I figured F' it!!! LOL  We'll see how it turns out. *nervous!*


This website is honestly turning out to be a great help to me. I came uppon it by accident, and now I can't imagine not being here!

Acrylic paint...I remember the girls mentioning they used acrylic paint!
