HELP: planning Hawaii vow renewal for inlaws

So excited to be doing a bit of wedding planning again!

DH and I are going to Hawaii with his family [Mom, Dad, Brother, Brother's GF, and Sister] for their parents 30th wedding anniversary. I've talked to DH, BIL and SIL and they all think a surprise vow renewal is a good idea.

The details: Small ceremony after Sunday mass. We'll already be at church so it won't be tough making an excuse to get them there.

That's all I have so far. I was thinking it would be neat to bring a bouquet and bouteneir in my giant beach bag/purse. Maybe even a veil.

We'll probably do a fancy lunch afterwards too.

What else can we do to make this special?

That sounds so cute!! I think a bouquet and bouts are a great idea! I'm really not sure what else though...lol. A special cake after your lunch? Maybe the kids can write a special poem or read a reading?

Sounds wonderful! I like the veil! My veil is what made me feel like I was a bride. This is so sweet!

Oh Elise I like those ideas, thanks!

Tressy, me too. And to think I almost went without a veil!

I did too! I wanted a tiara, but when I put on the veil, that is what created the vision for me and made me cry. I think you bringing a veil will be a lovely touch and giving her the bouquet is going to be a tear jerker for sure. Can you get a picture of the two of them when they were younger or when they first got married and have a brooch made for the handle of her bouquet?
