:::{Help w/ my menu, please}:::

What do you think of this for an outdoor backyard summer BBQ? Oh - Jes & I are not huge meat eaters and there will be a few vegetarians at the wedding.

After a few tweeks, here is where we are:

Butler Style for Cocktail Hour:

  • BBQ Pork Sliders

  • Hummus, cucumber wedges and grape tomatoes with pita wedges

Dinner Menu:

  • Gardener’s Green Salad with a balsamic vinaigrette or buttermilk ranch dressing

  • Seasonal Fresh Fruit Salad

  • Bowtie Pasta Salad

  • Lemony Zucchini, Chickpea and Lima Bean Salad

  • Grilled Sweet Potato Wedges

  • Charbroiled Marinated Chicken Breast w/ a Corn Relish

What do you think?

I have to email my carter - I feel like I am forgetting to ask her something b/c not sure what... :(

i think it sounds great, the only suggestion i would make is to maybe offer another grilled option for the dinner menu since it is a BBQ

The carter also had a steak sandwich on the dinner menu... however we really don't eat red meat, we didn't want a sandwhich, also we are trying to keep the costs less than $40 per person.

Ditto sserra. If it's a BBQ, then maybe have another option that includes something to be BBQed....

I am in agreement the other ladies, maybe a pork option, such as pulled pork in a pita - something along those lines.  I would definitely eat everything on your menu as I love chicken and definitely love pasta (italian girl here lol).

Do you think having Pork w/ the cocktail hour and Pork w/ dinner be too much pork?

IDK - I go to BBQ resturants and almost always order their fish... in fact that's what happened last night. Pan seared samlon w/ grilled veggies and whipped sweet potatoes.

I think it sounds good! I agree the pork at cocktail hour and then again at dinner would be a bit much. Maybe they could do a bbq'd veggie skewer (and maybe have a half completely veggie, and half veggie and chicken). That would add another bbq'd item...

What about grilled seafood option, tilapia is an inexpensive fish.
