I just talked to a florist friend, and she said it's called pin cushion protea. But she also mentioned that spider mum looks almost indistinguishable from pin cushion proteas, and that might be a better option. :)

Yes because the petals on a spider mum are a little thicker than this flower. These look more wispy.  The spider mums will work well and resemble them a lot.
