HELP!!!! Why can burgundy and green not be "Spring" Colors :(

So I am getting married in April and ALL my favorite colors are "Fall" colors. I originally wanted Forest green and chocolate brown with champagne to accent but I was told it was "too fall". We are getting married at a winery so I though ok, well a wine color like burgandy should go right? No, that TOO is a fall color...and everything I look at with green, even apple green is labeled "Christmas wedding". I love deep rich colors. My favorite is green and fiance's is red. I love the idea of doing a burgandy and green but is this "appropriate"? Will it look weird in a outside wedding in the Spring Surrounded by green? Any suggesrtions??? I am getting married at Faulkner Winery if you want to see what I have to work with. I am no good at this!!!  HEEEELPPP!!

Girl, you pick whatever colours your heart desires!!!  If you really want burgundy and green for your spring wedding, then do it!!  I had a summer wedding and my bridesmaids wore black and it was also one of my main colours.  ;)

I echo Mica's sentiments.  This is your wedding, so you get to choose the colors!  And as far as the burgundy and green not working for an outdoor wedding surrounded by green, use nature's greenery as part of your scheme--maybe make the main color burgundy and make the green an accent color, and if you look and feel it may be too much green, then maybe add a third accent color (a light neutral would be gorgeous with this pairing).  Take a look at some of the things I found:

I echo Mica s photo 3411011-1

Am I the only one that thinks a green bouquet may look gorgeous with those dresses?

Hope this helps, but definitely keep going with your vision!

It's your wedding and it can be anything you want it to be so pick the colors you want and since it's at a vineyard a deep red will work since it looks like wine then pick a dark green to match the leaves and it will be perfect!

You go with whatever your little heard desires!! I got married in September and my colors were bright green and pink! I worried that was not 'fall' enough either...and then I decided I just didn't care. And you know what? My wedding was gorgeous and yours will be too!

My non-fall colors:

You got some really good advice from the above ladies! My favorite little saying I have made up and shared with so many brides - YOUR DAY, YOUR WAY!

Look at this beautiful bouquet with burgundy roses and green accents! This just screams Spring to me and I think would look perfect at a winery. It would be awesome if grapes were added to it! And the cake doesn't scream fall to me with the burgundy ribbon and the lush green flowers, it screams totally SPRING! Your day should be everything you want it to be and you are going to hear so many opinions. Remember, this is your special day so make it your own! I hope I inspired you!

do NOT listen to seasonally appropriate colors for your wedding!!!! either way it will be beautiful! and i think burgundy and green would look great in the spring espically with all of the bright flowers and grass in spring, taking your colors to the deeper family will complement them beautifully! i just got married sept 8th, technically it was still "summer" my colors were black, white, and dark purple. very fall. but we actually "popped" because all of our backdrops were so bright, that in my pictures the darker colors my wedding party wore were the main focus!

my colors were also origionally chocolate brown, sage, and champagne! i would have went with that too, except the BM dress i wanted in sage was discontinued because of the season. so we changed to my second favorite combo!

go with what you and your fiance want. you could have an all black wedding in august and it would (be hot!) still look great!!! its all in how you present it!

also, im obsessed with tressys inspiration pictures! they scream spring vinyard wedding!!

Agree with others! Its your day! Do whatever colors YOU want to use! If your worried about if looking not springy enough I would suggest as others have of maybe going with a lighter green but rock that burgandy! I had a summer wedding and my colors were Black, Silver and Red!

Your getting married at a winery, those colors would tie right in no matter what season!...Besides if those are the colors you want then GO FOR IT!! you may regret it if you don't... YOU CAN MAKE THIS WORK ;).

If you really have concerns then you could always use Green, Burgundy and  Champaign as your main colors, but add some softer colors to break it up a bit (just little pops and hints of other colors, like a soft pink or white,  purple ect.)...

For the dresses consider: perhaps a champaign or two tone (champaign/white) gown for yourself.
if you go with the champaign dress, I would do some beautiful jewel tones Bridesmaids dresses, either burgundy or, again, a two tone of burgundy and purple.
Or:
If you want a white dress for yourself
For the BMs do the champaign with a sash and complementing flowers/accessories (ie:shoes/jewelry)

I might consider using tiny wine grapes/ Leafs and vines in your arrangements to bring the colors and theme in. Here's some inspiration for you =)

This arrangement has raspberries in it, swap with wine grapes ;)

Love the idea of using Wine bottles as part of your tablescape...mix it up with Green and clear bottles:

Some Champaign and two tone dresses:

I hate it when people try to tell a bride that something as trivial as color is "inappropriate".  Brides have so much to worry about--why do they have to give us such a headache?  Passing a tip jar around during the ceremony is inappropriate; choosing colors someone else doesn't like is small potatoes!

I do, however, see their concern.  After all, this doesn't exactly scream spring:

It very easily doesn't have to look like the above picture, though.  As the above brides said before me, it is your wedding, and you can find a way to make it work.  I love the suggestion to add pink.  Using a delicate, spring-y flower like ranunculus, peony, or tulips helps, too.  I was thinking something like this would be nice:

Girl i think you should go with whatever colors you want .. it is your day.... and if those colors make you happy then go with them.. dont study anybody else if they want to control you just simply and gently remind them that you are the bride and this is what you like
