You could always just put your names and wedding date....

Here is one I found online> Love is to life, what sunshine is to flowers. Thank you for your love and friendship as we celebrate this special day together.

Plant these flowers
Let them bloom
Remember fondly
The bride and groom
And how this day
The vows they share
With work and nurture
Grow so rare
A marriage that
Is based in love
And like these seeds
Is from above.

Seeds so small
Provide amazement and wonder
At how they grow
Through lightning and thunder,
Through drought and rain,
Through laughter and pain;
Just like our love
Has grown each day
From one small kiss
To a bountiful bouquet
From selfish to spreading,
From our past to our wedding,
From present to future,
From young to old,
From small and fragile,
To beautiful and bold.

Symbolic seeds
Plant, water, grow.
Just like our love
Reap and sow.
Reap and sow,
Grow and grow.
The more you sow
The more you reap.
The more you give
The more you keep

Tiny seeds need lots to grow;
Rain for nourishment,
The wind to blow,
The sun's light and warmth
To shine and glow.

Still the same we require;
Love for nourishment,
Trials to inspire,
The Son's truth and light
To be our desire.

Please help us in our heartfelt endeavor;
Plant your seeds and watch them grow,
Pray for our marriage that it may never
Have too much happiness or too much pain,
And that we may live in His love forever.

So you are putting the seeds inside an envelope and then then envelope inside the jar?

Hmm...are you giving like the sunflower seeds that people eat or seeds to actually plant? I think if you are giving seeds to be eaten it would be better just to put them in the actual jar, in my opinion. That way you could see what they are, and I think it'd be really cute.

Well for the favors I was doing seeds to plant, and then seeds to eat just on the table around the centerpieces.

The ones Charmeng posted are cute (especially the lst one)! I also agree to keep it simple. But if you are giving seeds for them to plant as favors, you might want to put that on the tags to show they aren't to eat... maybe put "grow your own sunflowers" and then directions on the back or make the packets look like actual sunflower seed packets.

Here's a seed packet template if you're diying the packets (and/or if you need one).

I like it too! And that definitely lets the guests know that they are to plant...not eat. I actually have an empty flowerbed in the backyard so mine will go to use right away :) In fact....maybe you should give me a few early so that we can do a test run and make sure guests get a good quality favor ;)

I had the same question as kasi.renee....All of you have excellent ideas!  You have helped me out also!  My wedding is in Aug, and my theme is a rustic backyard wedding with sunflowers all around!

Thanks so much!
