HOLY COW!!! JILLIAN MICHAELS kicked my butt!

So, I've began sharing my weight loss challenges and goals...and today I started Jilliams Michaels 30 day shred....and MYYYYY GOODNESS! If she doesn't whip me into shape then I don't know what will. I started level 1 today and it was quite a big challenge for me. I can't even imagine what level 3 will bring. I finished about an hour ago and i'm feeling sore already....but its a great feeling...because that means my muscles are getting the workout they need! I look forward to all the success in the world! I want to look better than ever on my wedding day in 133 DAYS!!!!!

Yaaaaa!  Isn't that one of the most wonderfully painful feelings in the world.  It's not that I'm a fan of pain, but the pain of a good work out feels great.  I know it's a step towards a healthier fit me. 


Mind you, I don't give myself the feeling of such pain very often.  My commitment to being healthy, fit, slimmer and gym or physically active has just hit an all-time low.  It's not like I have a reason to get in shape!  Only an open backed wedding dress!!!!  


Great job on getting it done for yourself.

Wait until you get to Level 2! I love it because it's like my training for motocross, I always did circuits. 


I've been doing it just over 2 weeks now and I've lost 5 inches thus far. I don't eat a set number of calories, I just don't eat crappy foods. I also drink about 12-15 glasses of water per day, but that's the norm for me. 


If you go on My Fitness Pal you can see some ladies' before and after pictures and it's truly amazing!

Julian michaels dont play Im serious she had me crying.  I was like Lord please help me.  I think her work outs are great and it will get you to where you want to be in that amount of time.  Good-luck hun and im proud of you keep up the good work.  Level 2 and three are no joke I did level 2 and three one day I fell to the ground lolol! I agree with Hals she is really a challenge.

Oooh my sister just gave me the 30 day shred but I haven't started it yet. I'm a little scared of it but hearing all of this great stuff makes me feel like it'll really work!

I havent started working out yet but I've started a new water diet. Everytime I get hungry, I drink a full glass of water with cucumber and lemon slices in it (let it sit overnight). I've lost 5 lbs in a week. I'm back down to my original weight (before I moved back in with my parents and started eating my weight in chocolate). Idk what it is about that specific water but I feel fuller than I do if I just drink regular water.

After I read this post yesterday, I had to go buy the Shred dvd. I bought the LAST one at our local Meijers, which my mom gave up looking. I didn't give up, I looked in every row on every shelf and the last pile I looked at it was in there :) I started this morning and my legs were "jello" after. It was very intense for only being 20 minutes. 


Keep up the great work and together we can do it! :)

The water idea is great!!! I will still continue my healthy eating habits, but I love lemon AND cucumber so I will give it a try!

And Megan814, that's awesome that you found it!!! My legs are KILLING me today!!!!! I'm hurting bad....but I know it's a good hurt! That means it's working! Yes....we can do this!!!!!!

So you drink a glass of water before you have a light meal, or thats all you have just the glass of water?

@Mrsabarca...I don't know exactly what lettrelover was talking about, but I believe it was drinking that BEFORE a meal. Nobody can survive on just water alone :)

Jillian Michael's has that affect on people!  


Drinking a glass of water BEFORE a meal is often recommended, but make sure you eat a small balance meal after the water.

Ah! I loved the 30 day shred! The next few weeks are TOUGH though.  I have to start getting back into that... I finish a class in about two weeks so after that I'm going back to working out all the time.  I need it, with less than two months for the wedding!

I too just started the 30 day shred! I have to admit I haven't been super strict with it (doing it every other day or so) but it is definitely tough! I'm still on level 1 mostly because I'm terrified of what's coming! Hang in there :)
