honeymoon - alaskan cruise?

so my FI and I live on the East Coast (New Hampshire) and will be taking our honeymoon in early July - we wanted something unusual since we have been to most places "honeymoon - like"  - So we were thinking about an alaskan cruise!  Does anybody have good info on these? Like, have you been on one, the best cruise ship to take, cost, a good travel agent to get us a good deal...etc..

thanks!! cant wait to hear what you've all got!! :)

All, I can say is go!! The cruise I took was on Royal Cruise line which I think no longer exists. Here's some good info on this site on the different lines. It's so unbelievably gorgeous up there. You will no be disappointed.

We are going on an Alaskan cruise!... I have a good friend that used to live in Alaska and she said that some of the lines are more for retired people and very structured.  Other lines cater more toward the adventurous type that like to hike, etc.  She said Celebrity Cruises was good.  Good luck!

My FI and his family just came back from their Alaskan Cruise last Monday...they showed me pictures and it was beautiful...Very Scenic they went on a Norwegian Cruise Ship they said that Norwegian is the only Cruising they'll do since its freestyle, Anyways, they said the food was so amazing and they went to the comedy shows which were hilarious and FI and his brother and cousins played in poker tournaments, All in all a lot to do on the ship and there were a couple of excursions but some were really costly, they ended up doing a fishing trip for like $1000 for the 6 of them and didn't catch any salmon...but they said it was a bit chilly, obviously, and they were prepared but it was in the mid to low 60's which isn't too bad...If I were to go I would do it when the Northern Lights are at their best since I def. want to see them! But that's usually Spring and Autumn...Sorry if I rambled!!!
