Honeymoon for a Cheap College Couple!

Hey Ladies,

This may be a stretch but I'm a college student on a budget. Do any of you know of any promotionals out there that offer free honeymoons? I'm just trying to get a little creative and use these resources to my advantage. I've been called a few times about sitting through a presentation or having to do some extra work. However I'm willing to explore a few different angles if it means that ultimately we get a bargin honeymoon! Lets say between 0-$1000 for two people all expenses included?

I'll also welcome any tips or experiences you had on having a really budget friendly honeymoon.

Have you checked out groupon or living social!? They have fantastic getaway deals. A lot of times you can find great all inclusive prices!

I recommend driving to your location and renting a condo or house. I recently took a last minute, week long vaca to Hilton Head, SC in August/September (off season) and it only cost us $750 to rent a house only a bike ride away from the beach. Plus we decided to cook all of our meals and spend most of our time at the beach :)) Basically, we spent around $1500 including our bike rental and a "little" outlet shopping. I would also suggest checking out Tybee Island in GA or Key West in FL. They maybe a bit more expensive considering where you live or what time of year you plan on going BUT they have responsibly priced food and activities to partake in.

Good luck!

We did a road trip. about 5 hours of driving, to Sedona, AZ... the other thing I reccomend: Find someone with a timeshare, and see if they would be willing to sell you a week. it is MUCH cheaper than a hotel, plus you get a kitchen... which will save you money on going out (it can be very... ah... fun to cook together. with noone there to stop you making googly eyes at one another. and whatnot).

Also, we had a lot of free activities: sight seeing, hiking, events at the time share location- we played bingo for free candy. it was awesome!

then we had one big night out for dinner, and a couple of fun activities that weren't too expensive. Instead of a more expensive tour, we took a tour by trolly of the area. Also, one of our hikes was awesome because we happened up a really neat buddist prayer area (I am horrible, and cannot remember the name)... we also drove out to the Grand Canyon one day. My hubby had never been! It was an amazing time, and like I said, I think With gas we ended up spending around 800 to 1k. or less? maybe?
