Honeymoon in September!?

Any know any good honeymoon spots for September? I know its hurricane season so most of Mexico and the Caribbean is out. And we really want an all-inclusive beach honeymoon. Any suggestions? Does anyone know any all-inclusives in Hawaii?

Hawaii is good. My personal favorite island is Maui. =)

If it's early September, then Greece is a really nice choice. That's where we went for our honeymoon.

My Australian coworker also told me that Australia is really nice to visit in the fall. I heard the great barrier reef is a lot of fun!

Aruba is outside of the hurricane area.  Bermuda is also.

I don't know of any all-inclusives in Hawaii at all.  However, I've been many times and I've found that the most economical way to stay in Hawaii is to get a private vacation rental home or condo.  I stayed in a gorgeous 2000 sq ft home in Maui, on 2 acres of land, and paid $1000 for the whole week.  In Kauai, we stayed in a condo at a new beach front resort, for $1500 for the week.  There are some really fabulous rentals out there, especially if you plan ahead.  If you opt to stay at some of the nice resorts, you will get a "room" and your costs will easily be tripled.

I went to the Big Island three years ago and we stayed at the Mariott just north of Kona.  We got 5 nights at the hotel AND airfare for $1500 for both of us.

Also, travel to Hawaii has gotten much more expensive over the last year.  Since two of the airlines that fly there went bankrupt, airfare has increased significantly.  My airfare 3 years ago was $400, this year it was $1000.  If you really want to go to Hawaii, start monitoring airfare early & snag up any specials that pop up.

I'd recommend Hawaii too in September. The crowds decrease a lot after Labor Day and the prices will go down a bit. Yes, it's expensive, but if you watch the fares and look for deals on the travel websites (travelocity, orbitz, priceline, cheaptickets, etc), you can get lucky. DH and I just got back from our 6-night honeymoon on Maui. We stayed at a 4-star hotel in Ka'anapali and flew Hawaiian Airlines. The hotel/flight package was about $1000 per person. We spent an extra $200 on a car rental. We watched the fares for about 6 months and they went from $1800 per person to about $1000. We bought our tickets about 3 weeks before we left.

If you'd prefer the Caribbean, take a look at Aruba. It's further south from the rest of the Caribbean and outside of hurricane alley.

Good luck!
