Honeymoon on a budget

Does anyone know of any good and affordable honeymoon destinations?  We wanted to go to Aruba, but we only have 3 more months before the big day and aren't even close to having enough saved to book that.  Anyone have any idea's or experiences they'd like to share? We'd like to go somewhere warm, with a beach, where we can just relax and enjoy each others company... and do a few activities here and there...

another idea would be to go on a short mini-moon and book aruba anyway - only for a later date and start making payments towards the aruba trip...

have you thought about thailand?  the airfare may be a bit expensive but once you're there things are relatively cheap (especially when compared to somewhere like the maldives). if you really want to save, there are lots of cheap backpacker hostels and hotels but you can even get really great deals at the resorts.

malaysia is nice as well though a bit more expensive and alchohol is really expensive as compared to thailand.

We wanted to do Thailand, but the airfare was outrageous this time of year (as opposed to in the winter).  We decided to go to Cabo.  It is the beach; our plane tickets were $125 each, and hotels aren't awful.

staceyrenee---> where are you guys flying out of and do you want to stay in the states (assuming you live here) or do you want something out of the states??

what's the most time you want to spend traveling to get there?? what is the absolute most $$ you want to spend??

my vote is always for hawaii since it's far enough away that is is "away" but there's no passport issue and it's still tropical and beachy and you're still spending american dollars in america; if you want to talk to my travel agent let me know and i'll pm his info to you...

then there's also always: usvi or puerto rico

all-inclusives in mexico are cool: www.palaceresorts.com ; www.riu.com

I recommend Cabo,Mexico...like what Pink said the airfare is farely cheap.  I can't really vouch for the prices since our honeymoon was a wedding gift...but it was a very relaxing and beautiful place.

Good luck!
