I have posted some pics but now have time to do a recap for you all. We went to St. Lucia for seven days and stayed at the Halycon and loved it. We could travel to the other two resorts The Grande and La Toc and we did but we loved how peaceful ours was the others were more party spots. All restuarants I list are on the resorts :)
We flew out of Jax airport at 8 which originally was suppose to be 7 but we were delayed to get to Miami which almost cost us our connection but our connection overbooked so they were delayed as well and offered 800 dollar vouchers per a ticket and free hotel and food if we stayed overnight to take the next one to st. lucia. We decided not to since we were already losing a day flying there. We landed in the St. Lucia airport around 3:30 and waited in an A/C lobby for our shuttle to the resort. The worst part of the whole trip is the rides to and from the airport. The airport is an hr from the resorts and it took us two because of traffic and if you get car sick you feel it since it's not a straight highway its up and turns and inclines its just bad. I was thankful to get to the resort lol. We were welcomed with champagne and a personal attendent to take us to our room. This is the view when you stepped out of the door. It was so pretty.
We had the night to ourselves and explored the resort a little more. We had american food from the little late night bistro and some drinks that were very strong but good.
The next morning(wed) we had a resort tour with a hostess to tell us the rules and what we can use and what will cost. We then got to make reservations for dinners and the excursions. We made reservations for a 5 course candlelight dinner and to the japanese place that everyone told us was amazing. We did two tours, From Sugar to Rum which would take you to the old sugar mill then to the new one and we get to drink rum! We also picked an island jeep adventure tour. We also booked a picnic that we could explore and old fort on the island from the brits and french fighting. So losing half of that day we decided it was best to just lay by the pool for the day then we would go to the italian for dinner. It was amazing!
Thursday we just layed around all day by the pool and enjoyed eachothers company :)
On Fri we did the sugar to rum tour and left around 1 in the afternoon. Our tour guide was named Stormy Norman and he was funny. He took us through the poorest town so we could see the difference in the areas and what people had. We went by the banana plantations and then told us that he would take us to the old mill if the river wasn't too high since the bridge was collapsed from the fire. It was a small creek so we made it across and it was burnt down but made awesome pics. We then went to the rum tasting and had 22 we could taste. I tried a chocolate one that was heaven if it would been put on ice cream! There was one that was 160 proof even. Then we had the option to buy but we didn't cause we only brought carryons(people looked at us in awe that we only needed a gym bag of clothes but come on I spent most of the time in a bikini!)He took us to see and explore Marigot Bay as well where some films were filmed. It was pretty. We then went back to the hotel showered then went to eat at one of the english pubs, they only serve three kinds of beer on the Island Henikien, Guinness and Piton.

Stormy Norman and the rums to taste
He liked the pub :)
On Saturday we went on a jeep tour that would go through the banana plantations and the poor town where we could explore the church that was in the town. We then drove to the hot spring and mud baths. With a temp of 100 degrees minimum it was quite hot. Which is where an active volcano heats the mud spring. Then washed it off after letting it dry on the skin. We then traveled to a natural waterfall, the water here was cool and around 50 degrees. It made for amazing pictures though. After the spring we went to a lunch place and could see the famous Pitons on the island but they had forgot to cook for us so we left after taking pictures. We did get a discount since lunch was suppose to be provided. We got back then went to eat at the other italian. IT was again amazing!!
The mud pit!
On Sunday we went by the pool and relaxed until our candlelight dinner at 6:30. It was very romantic and nice to just enjoy a peaceful dinner alone between the two of us. Our waitress/butler was amazing and so sweet the whole time we had to get a picture with her.
On our last full day we did the Picnic and it was nice to control our own excursion and it was very romantic. We hiked to the top of the fort then relaxed on the beach for a few hrs after. He then proposed on the beach in front of a few people so I didn't get any pics because of me not expecting it. But very memorable!
The beach he proposed on!
The last day we flew home around 3 so we only grabbed a quick pic and ate lunch then flew home. Got back in Jax for a few days before we officially go home.
