How did you In-Laws take the news?

MIL: Didn't say anything to me.... She just hugged DH and told him congrats and ignored me and told me that my names I liked were ugly....

BIL1: Was in Australia and was super happy for us....

BIL2: Was in NY and was so happy that he yelled out "OMG my brother is pregnant!" I was cracking up!

BIL3: Was happy, but he is a jackass and is always in competition with us and compared us having a baby with his freaking dog! I was talking about diaper bags from Coach and his jackass gf said she wants one for her dog!

Lol Sparkle.... She has major issues with me and "taking her baby away" so I think that she is almost jealous that now he really has his own family.... She looks for anything mean to say.... Funny thing is she doesn't realize that my DH is the one that loved the names! Haha

MIL - VERY excited! All of her grandkids live far away, so she's excited that this one will live close by!

All of DH's siblings were soooo excited... one was a little sad though, b/c she'll be in China when the baby is born and won't get to meet her til 4 months after she's born! But still excited :)

Bling - that really stinks, I'm sorry that she isn't more supportive :(

MIL was beside herself excited.  We told her we needed her to come over to get something and told her then.  She wouldn't stop hugging me and smiling.

Shortly after that we called his grandma (who raised him and doesn't like me).  The first words out of her mouth were that she just got rid of all her baby stuff (she used to run a very small daycare) and made it sound like she expected to get to watch our baby.  NOT HAPPENING!  But she was excited.

FIL & SMIL were super excited.  We are going to see them for the 1st time this weekend since we found out.  I can't wait.

Inlaws:  We were trying to be sweet- it was the first dinner with them since the HM. We wrapped a little gift for them both- one said "I love grandma" and other ... Grandpa.  They opened it up, looked at it shocked lol then she blurted out "but Immmmm not readdyyyy to beeee aaaaa grandmaaaa" I don't think she meant it 'bad' but I was PISSED- ruined everything for me. I just wish for once she could be enthusiastic!  I guess thats just her personality though.  Now they of course are happy- FIL seems to like him the most of course lol

My family: Absolutely thrilled- we have a larger family and new we wanted this and "know us" so they were of course thrilled. Still in disbelief sometimes that the "baby" of the family had a 'baby" God I love my family!

I guess the two families just handle him differently- mine kiss kiss kiss him all over, talk, and love.  His family just holds and passes back.  Just different.  My mom thinks I should let them have him alone- so they may be more comfortable!

Jamie- Our families and in laws sound so much alike.... Sometimes I need to remember that not all families are the same and react the same way.... Maybe they will feel differently when the baby is born BUT I am not holding my breath.... We saw MIL last night and she was really nice which made me feel good.... I wasn't feeling well and she was actually talking to me and asking if I needed anything.... I do notice that when DH and I are there alone she isn't as nice BUT when BIL's gf is there (MIL calls her Devil Girl) that she is nicer to me.... Weird....

My MIL screamed and cried and has told everyone in the family.

My FIL is so thrilled he bought baby balloons and had them tied up outside the house when we came over later that day.

My mom is excited but tried not to get over excited until I'm past my first trimester.

We're hoping to tell our parents this weekend.  We are just making sure that all is okay...so far so good, but we didn't want to get everyone excited too early.  I'll be sure to come back and post after we tell them!  We're so excited to share the news...but being careful b/c it is so early.
