How early can you test?

Hi ladies...back in January my husband and I started TTC.  Then I had some issues that I was dealing with my doctor with so kinda put it on hold.  I've been tracking my periods using the My Days app that shows when I'm hypothetically ovulating, and hubby and I were avoiding around those days. Well...whoops! Yesterday, we didn't even think to look and accidentally did "it" on the day that we were ovulating according to the app.  Now, we aren't against being pregnant AT ALL (in fact, we'd be ecstatic!), but now that I know it's "possible" I REALLY want to take a test.  I've heard 5 days before your missed period?  Anyone know?  Thanks ladies! I haven't been active in awhile but looking forward to re-meeting you all in a baby venue!

It depends on the sensitivity of the test. I used a First Response Early Result and even though I was having symptoms at 9dpo (5days before my missed period) I did not get a positive until 14dpo and 1 day before my period was due. Some women get their + earlier but it is a low percentage.

Good luck!

I've gotten positives at 10dpo, but I had IUI's with O induction trigger shot so I knew down to a few hours when I O'd.  10dpo was very faint though and that was on a FRER. On 11dpo it appeared on a digi.  GL!
