How many extra invites should you order?

FI and I are in the middle of ordering our invites. Is 25 extra enough?

I think so. I ordered like 20% more and I have A LOT of invitations left over. I think I could have spent that money on something else.

What will the extra ones be for?

I only ordered one extra as a keepsake.

Joe's parents wanted 10 extra and my dad asked for some extra too. I also read somewhere that you might decide to invite some people that you don't intend to closer to your wedding date?

I ordered 10 extra ones, just in case. It's always good to have a couple of extras especially if you have a "B List"!

I ordered 25 extra and have ALOT left over. But, if you are ordering from Mercurio Brothers, the difference between 100 and 125, I believe is only about $35. =)

The extra ones are for B list invites or any invites that may have gotten lost in the mail.

I only need 28, but am ordering 30. We don't really have a B list, since it's a small DW. My first time around, we had 250 guests, I ordered 25 extra invites, because we did have a B list and it is cheaper to add an extra 25 to the initial order than to order more later. Also, that way, if any are lost or damaged in the mail, etc. you're covered.

Thanks ladies for your advice! I think I'll just get the extra 25 just incase. I'm getting it from Mercurio Brothers (thanks for the rec deeinthehola!) and it's probably worth it to spend another $20 for the extra invites just incase. Thanks again! =)
