How many of you think you will renew your vows?

I wanted to know how many of you think you will re-new your vows?

How do you feel about people who re-new their vows?

How many years should people wait before they publicly re-new?

Have you ever been to a vow-renewal?

I have just 89 days before mine and I am really looking forward to it. When we first got married it was just to get it done and we did not write our vows. This time we are writing our vows and I am writing the entire ceremony including quotes and readings from various people in our lives.

The focus is more about the uniqueness of our lives and sharing some very special memories with our friends and family.

I definitely want to renew our vows as well.  I was thinking maybe at 10 years, which means I have about 8 more years to plan.  : )

I love when couples renew their vows.  I have never been to a vow renewal, but would have no problems at all attending one.

Congrats on your vow renewal and I can't wait to see what your plans come together!!

Congratulations on your vow renewal! We are going to do ours probably at 10 years. For our 1st anniversary we are going to have a photo shoot because there were so many moments not captured on our wedding day! So very excited about that!

I have never been to a vow renewal. My sister and her hubby were supposed to have one next year and I was excited to do all the planning, but life gets in the way so it has to be postponed.

I am excited about seeing yours come together!!!

Yay congrats on your vow renewal.

Personally, I never though about doing one. This being said, Ive been married only for 4 months. But knowing DH, I don't think he would really enjoy it. May be when we'll be at our 50th anniversary or something like this, hihi!

However, I assisted 2 vow renewal in the last two years. First one was a total surprise for the couple!!! I took place during FI's cousin wedding two summers ago. It was her parents 35th wedding anniversary the same day she got married so as a gift and surprise, she asked the celebrant to do a vow renewal during her own wedding ceremony. It was short but really nice.

Second took place this summer. It was DH's parents closed friends. They planned it for about 6 months and it was really great. They did this at their home with friends and family.

id like to do it! but we jusssst got married 2 months ago. we have an almost 2 year old daughter who was our flower girl, so one of the main reasons i do want to do it in the future is so that our next and final child can be involved in our day too. we were on a pretty tight budget, and both of our dream-weddings had to be sacrificed because there were more important things for us to save/spend our money on then a lavish wedding, so when we do do it, i know we are both going to want to be in a possition where we can have everything we didnt this year. i cant pin point the "right" year to do it, so i guess we'll just see what our future holds! congrats on making it to the 20 year mark & good luck with your planning! i love the idea of it being platinum for the 20th anni!!

I would love to have a vow renewal at 15 or 20 years or so. DH loved our wedding, but he HATED the planning part of it. The first time I ran the vow renewal thing by him he was like "noooo not again!" hahah. But that was like 2 months after the wedding so I don't blame him. He did say he would in the future though - so maybe we will!

It isn't SUPER important to me to do it though - but that might change as well!

Congrats on 20 years!!

I would not want to spend that kind of money every year, but I understand wanting to be a princess.

Yes, two months is too soon. For me it was realizing how far we had come together AND how many of our friends had ended in divorce. We were the ones who weren't supposed to make it because I was 19 and he was 22.

I really think that if WE can make our marriages work then a celebration is in order. And they do NOT need to be elaborate at all. It is mostly about showing eachother that yes, no matter what we have gone through our love is strong enough to still say I DO!

I wanted to know how many of you think you will re-new your vows?

That's the whole reason why I'm here ladies!!!!

CHECK OUT MY BIO!

How do you feel about people who re-new their vows?

I think it is actually more appropriate than the wedding itself.  The wedding is when you join as one where as a renewal is actually celebrating your marriage.

How many years should people wait before they publicly re-new?

I think that is solely up to the couple!  If you can do it every year, why the heck not?!

Have you ever been to a vow-renewal?

No but I would love to so you Philly/Delco area BRIDES SHOULD SEND ME MY INVITATION RIIIIIGHT NOW!!!!!!
