How much are you spending on flowers???

I'm just curious... what is everyone spending on their flowers?

Include what kind and what you are getting for the price!

Thanks!

We are spending $4,000 on flowers.  This includes rose bunches with bows on pews at church, two big standing arrangements of roses at church, my bouquet and 6 bridesmaid bouquets, basket filled with flowers for flower girl, 15 arrangements for reception tables which are curly willow with orchids hung on branches and filling vases with hanging candles, 16 smaller centerpieces for cocktail tables, and centerpiece for sweetheart table... i think i covered everything!

I am going to DIY (with the help of my florist friend) and buy ~500 rose stems for a little less than $400 from Sam's Club.

1 bride bouquet, 5 BM bouquet, 2 coursages, 15 boutineers, 24 (simple) centerpieces, cake flowers, and extra petals for FG and tables.

So with the flowers and supplies (including square vases and ribbon), spending roughly $500

I guess we are getting a lot out of it, but still.. its a lot of money.. ours includes centerpieces for 18 tables (each centerpiece will have 3 different containers at different heights, and lots of candles and rose petals).. colored linens, ceremony decor, all our bouquets, a lounge area (sofa, 2 chairs, cocktail table and side tables with giant candles and pillows), a really cool giant cake stand.. ummmm. im sure there is more but i cant think lol... so ya.. im really excited.. sometimes i feel dumb for spending a lot of money on one day, but hey, its my money lol.. and i wanted really cool flowers! :O)

about $400-$500. I have a friend who's had training in florals and she's doing my two bouquets, 4 corsages, 4 bouts, centerpieces for 10 tables and the flowers for the arch at cost. She just goes down to the Flower Market in L.A. She does friend's weddings all the time and she did one last month for under $500 and it was beautiful. The huge cost that you see is the florists markup so if you can DIY or have a friend do it, it's worth it.

The only flowers we're doing are 6 bouquets, 9 bouts 2 coursages and half of the centerpieces at the reception will be limes in tall cylider vases and the other half will be short square wood containers of wheat grass.  We haven't gotten quotes on the flowers but the centerpieces will run us about $300.

I think a lot of it has to do with what kind of flowers you want and what time of year (like roses around Valentine's Day are crazy expensive).

Haha people are going to think we're crazy but only around $372 was the total, we had a coupon code for fiftyflowers.com. This is for six BM bouquets, my bouquet, eight centerpieces/mantle pieces, eight bouts and seven corsages I believe. Its all roses, mini roses and hydrangeas. Sure its DIY but I love flowers so I'm not very worried about it :)

Oh if you include the garland another $50 and vases another $100

Wow, I'm getting my roses from Sam's club for my bouquet and BM, the rest will be DIY for centerpieces which will be silk flowers in vases a girlfriend of mine gave me from her wedding 6 months ago. The roses will run me about $300.00 which come in bulks of 100 stems for $75.00 each bulk.
