How much are you spending on your honeymoon in comparison with your wedding?

We are about to SPLURGE on our honeymoon and I can't help feeling like we are going overboard!  If its not too personal a question, how much are couples spending on their honeymoon (and how long is the trip?)

THANKS!

We're spending about $5,000 and going to St. Lucia for 9 nights.  We got our airline tickets for free using miles which saved us about $2,000!

We spent about $5500 including spending money and food for our whole trip. We went to Belize for 12 days. 6 in the mountain area and 6 in on the beachy side. It was an amazing trip. :)

6 nights in Maui, $3100 total including airfare, a nice hotel, car rental, food, & spending money. It ended up being a lot cheaper than we planned for because we waited and bought our tickets just a couple of weeks before the trip. And it was the beginning of the off season on Maui.

If I could have gotten more time off at work, we would have stayed longer and easily dropped another $2k.  Instead of going broke on this trip, we decided to keep saving $$ and we will go on another "honeymoon" every year for the next couple of years. We want to get a lot of travel done before we start having babies. ;-)

We're spending just under $6000 for lodging, excursions, and all flights within Thailand.  We're spending 9 nights in Thailand (three different hotels) and 2 nights in Hong Kong on the way back - all 4 star or above.  Our international flights were free via miles.  We will still need to pay for shopping, food, etc. while we're there but everything is so incredibly inexpensive there.  Oh, and if two business class seats open up in the next three weeks, we'll be paying $1000 total to snag them.  Totally worth it for the loooooong flight...

We spent just under $5k for an 8 night trip to Rome.  This really was only for food, transportation within Rome, and excursions (tours and what not).  Our hotel was a gift from my MIL and FIL.  Our airfare was courtesy of my DH's United miles.  We knew that we won't be able to swing a Europe trip in the near future, so we lived it up.  Also, the American $ to the Euro wasn't too great while we were there a week ago.  It was pretty expensive...about 40% more than here.

We just came back from St. Lucia spent around 5000 for 6 nights in at Sandals Grande and that includes our island tour, ziplining and another outing to a fishing town, candlelight dinner on the beach and a couple's massage (food and drinks inclusive).  We went during hurricane season so we got 45% off on the rooms.
