How much do you have planned?

Hello everyone! I'm pretty new at this planning stuff and wanted to know a couple of things. First, where to start. I have a date and colors now what. I'm also trying to keep it simple and would like to DIY. So far what do you have planned?

where to start?

start with a budget!!  Figure out who is contributing and how much- this will drive the rest of your planning.

If you've already set a date- think about your color scheme/theme...think of inspiration and go from there.

There is a fabulous checklist on PW to help give you a more detailed to-do list along your timeline

The one thing I wish someone told me FIRST was to pick the kind of flowers you like, and what is AVAILABLE for your date.  I loved Ranunculus and Anemones, neither of which are available for me.  That ruined my color scheme... not a lot of blue flowers.

Before you go planning too much, def find a venue.  We had a ROUGH budget, and visited my top 4 online choices.  Unless your date is really meaningful, you may want to be flexible if the best of the venues is already booked.

www.gigmasters.com - amazingly helpful.

Yes- budget is #1. Make it and try to stick to it.

Then decide on venues- those book up the soonest. Then photographer and videographer and DJ/band.

And ditto kassio Check out the PW checklist
