HOW RUDE!!!

Ok, so my rsvp's were due back this past Saturday.  I didn't recieve 5 back.  I provided postage!  Is it that much to ask for to fill out the little card and send it back to me?!

Now, do I just assume these people are not coming or what?????

What should I do???

you should always do your follow up calls regardless, before assuming they aren't going to make it. those who haven't rsvp'd will be there very one's making a fuss because your hostesses dont have them on the list. lol

I still have friends that I work with including our VP - that never responded. I had to send out a mass email to everyone getting their responses.  I am still waiting on aprox 2 more to give me a definite answer - mind you the wedding is a 1 wk and 1/2 away. they have only had 9 months to figure it out - yes or no - not that hard.  Feel you pain!

we had several people that never responded with the card and postage we provided.  we had to have my mom & FMIL make calls to see if they wer coming or not.  it is pretty rude, but i'm learning to take it in stride.

hehe Everytime I hear someone say "how rude!" I think of little Stephanie Tanner... lol

This seems to be a big problem from what I hear on the boards. I don't get it, especially if you provide postage! I would give them a week and then start calling. The thing is that you could have saved yourself a lot of money by just calling everyone in the first place. You obviously put a lot of time, money and effort into these and that's why it is so rude! I guess people just don't think it's that big of a deal...

Good luck!

I never really thought that much about RSVP-ing. I always think hello i told you i was coming didn't i? lol But now i understand and yes that is very rude! So then how do you handle people who don't RSVP and they show up anyway? With guests no less and guests of guests!

You should wait 3 days and then give them a courtesy call. If you feel uncomfortable contacting them yourself, then have your MOH do the calls.

I think it is rude, but I know that some peope dont pay attention to these details. I'm pretty sure that I'll have the same problem when I send out my invites

If the deadline is past, you can call them! I did that this weekend. I literally cant imagine why people do not RSVP yet they plan to come to the wedding with a guest !!!

Yeah, it can happen.  Definitely give them a call though, I know someone who got a whole bunch lost in the mail somehow and like 20 people never got theirs.  So double check for sure!

I used to be terrible at rsvping to things. Not really weddings, but other parties,Often I would just forget. I'd get the invite in the mail and see that I have a month or so before its due, put the invite down and accidently forget about it or misplace it.

After doing all this planning, I can totally see what I a jerk I was for not being more diligent. lIve, you learn

I would give them a call, depending on who it is. Chances are is that they are coming, but just forgot.
