how to fire my florist!!!

where to begin.. ok ima try n cut this short

... ok the jist of it is. I have a florist who we put a $200 deposit on.. lately I've been feeling VERY unhappy with her.. I feel like she doesn't really listen to what I want. anyway our wedding is next month june 27th which is really comin up quick. well last nite I ran into an old friend.. who has a wedding business.. and she basically offered to help me out with practically everything.. the majority of it she will be doing our flowers.

now how the heck do I fire our florist lol.. I don't know what to say. do you think I'm making the right decision as far as firing her and going with my friend? help!

I wouldn't really say "fire", maybe just let her know you decided to go a different route and it was a deal you would be crazy to let pass up giving you exactly what you had in mind.

Good luck!

I agree with SC. If they aren't achieving your wishes, then I'd really let them go.

This is kinda why we opted to DIY our flowers to an extent and cut out the middle man. I'd go with your friend to save money, time and the ability to be open and frank with someone other than a stranger.

HTH!

thank you for all your opinions!! my mind is made up.. I'm going to say bye bye to her & my measly $200. my friend will most likely save me a good $1000 so losing out on $200 isn't anything when I look at the bigger picture.

=D

ps- happy mommies day to all you PW mommies!!

I think that's a good decision! You need to be happy with your vendor's work! Good luck!

If you don't think your personalities match, get out ASAP. That is a small deposit, compared to tons of regret for not letting her go. Great decision and a lot more piece of mind! Good job!
