How to handle holiday foods

I'm trying to develop a game plan ahead of time, so I don't allow myself to fall into junk food grazing over the holidays. I'm sort of thinking of just reminding myself that it tastes good now, but it will take me longer to work it off than it does to eat it. Also trying to think along the lines of "what can this give me"... If a short rush from the taste is it, then it's not worth it.

Thoughts?

Some of the best advice I received from my Weight Watchers leader was to think of the foods you are around that you can eat anytime, or you make throughout the year.  Skip those, and focus on the foods that you really only eat during the holidays!  Rembember, MODERATION is key.  You'll do just fine!

my mom says she tells herself "I'm sick of food" over and over again, kind of a reframing activity. I'm doing it now!
