HOW-TO make glitter pumpkins

via our lovely Martha!

These decorations bring sparkle to tables and serving areas -- and they last far longer than jack-o'-lanterns. To make one, use a medium-size paintbrush to spread a layer of white glue over the surface of a small pumpkin. Hold pumpkin over a paper plate or a sheet of newspaper to catch excess glitter. Sprinkle powder glitter over pumpkin in several colors (we used penny, persimmon, orange, and pink champagne), covering completely. Let dry for about one hour; shake off excess glitter. Coat stem with brown acrylic paint; let dry. Pumpkins will keep for months.

I'm thinking about doing this. Looks pretty easy. If you are deciding to do this for your home, please post pics and give us tips =)

Ok, this is my favorite!!!  Simple and affordable yet gorgeous!!  As soon as I can get a pumpkin I'm doing this! Just need to find something cute to display them on!

I love this!  Painting the stem makes such an impact to the overall look, too.

This is such a fun project.  My bestie and did this a few years ago, although they were not as fancy.  I'm adding this to the holiday to-do list for our new home.  : )

I am thinking of doing some glitter pumpkins. One's with bright orange glitter, black glitter and for some added fun, maybe some purple glitter. We shall see...lol

This is on the list for this weekend!  No soccer games and (right now) no photo shoots!!  My daughter is so excited... she wants to make one purple, one black, and one orange! :)
