I AM MRS. SMITH: MRS.SMITH2BE WEDDING RECAP!!!!
So.....Im officially Mrs. Smith!!! Here's a little recap of how my day went along with some non-pro pics from some of the attendees.
The day started off great I stayed in a luxury bayside suite the night before so I woke up and headed off to the nail salon to get my nails, feet and eyebrows freshly done. I was back to the suite by 12:30 which was plenty enough time for me to rest before my girls arrived at 3:00. Slowly they arrived to the suite but all were on time (yay!!) and shortly thereafter arrived my hair and makeup artist. She did a wonderful job and above that since she and my mom are really good friends she gave her services as a gift to me for the wedding. The photographer arrived around 4:30 to start taking get ready pics of both the girls and the groomsmen (seperate suites/same hotel). Everything was going great until my mom decided to try and get her lashes done as well and ended up putting us behind time about 15 minutes.
The wedding was scheduled to start at 6:30 but didnt get underway until about 6:50 I was soooo upset but decided not to let it show because I didnt want to ruin the wedding before it even started. I was sooo nervous my dad even shed a tear when he first saw me. Before I knew it the limo was pulling up to the gates of the ceremony and they were ushering me out the car. My song began to play and I was shaking soooo bad that my dad had to slow down and ask me to breathe..lol Anyhow the ceremony was beautiful we wrote our own vows and there wasnt a dry eye in the crowd. We did use the I DO cards but found them to be more in the way than anything and I dont believe we got the "photo shot" that I was hoping for. Between that and the blessing of the hands our hands were pretty occupied. Then we did our butterfly release...OMMGGG it was beautiful and so many ohhs and ahhs came from this part of the ceremony.
I cant wait for the professional pics to come back although my brother taped the ceremony and reception for us so we have since transferred it to a dvd. (ive watched it at least 5 times already and Im still on my honeymoon)!! Everything went so smoothly there was tons of good food, the cake was delicious and me and my dad did a really funky father daughter dance. We did however miss out on the end of the reception because the photographer pulled us out to take pics and our guest thought that we had left for the night. So that was kind of a bummer because we didnt get to dance the night away. The good thing about that was that we did everything that was important earlier in the night so it wasnt like anything got left out. ....well thats about it. I loved everything...one piece of advice that you HAVE to take to heart is ENJOY and SAVOR each minute of your day because everything will be so breathtakingly beautiful that you dont want to miss it!!!
