I Bought my Dress!!!!!!
I bought my dress! I am so stinking excited! I had gone back home to Huntsville for the day on Friday to go dress shopping with my mom, godmother, and one of my bridesmaids. We wanted to go ahead and get an idea of what I liked and didn't like but had no plans of buying a dress because my mom was coming up here to Nashville the next weekend to really do some hard core dress shopping. We went to one store and I tried on about 6 dresses. The first one I tried on I really liked but I didn't have that wow moment in it. So off we went to The Something Blue Shoppe in Hartselle, AL. I swear they pulled out at least 20 dresses for me to try on. I found two that I liked better than the dress from the first store but then I tried on the 5th dress and almost started crying. I walked out and everyone got all teary eyed and had the biggest smiles on their faces. I just starred at it for at least 20 minute, looking at it from every angle with every veil. The owner asked me if I wanted to try on any more dresses and I told her I did (I'm one of those exhaust the options kind of people). I tried on about half of the dresses left in my room but only even came out to show everyone one or two. So I finally put on "THE DRESS" again and fell in love with it even more. It is an Allure Couture Style 8488 in ivory and silver. I love the modified sweetheart neckline, but the back is my absolute favorite. I love the how the back v's down but then most stunning part of the gown is that the solid fabric stops and my entire train is lace and crystals. Here are some of the stock pictures. Only difference is this gown is white and mine is ivory. Don't you think I should wear my hair like that too?!??! Haha! My mom has the pictures of me in the dress tucked away safely on her computer so FI can't see them but I will try to get some of those up soon.
I originally wanted a long veil but decided that it took away from the detail on the back of the dress so I went with a finger tip veil instead. Erica Koesler 733-45. Can I just say I had no idea how expensive veils were! Anyhoo, this one looks fantastic with it and the pattern and beading look like they were made for this dress.
I had to go ahead and get my shoes because the dress has to be made for my height. I wanted a low heel (we are going to be dancing all night, I need some comfort) but I was kind of hoping on finding something spectacular somewhere. But I ended up just going ahead and getting some coloriffics "fantasy". I like them and they only have 1.75 in heel which will be nice but I'm not sold on them. I might see if I can find some other 1.75 in heels to replace them but I am definitely set on the 1.75 because of the hollow to hem.
Ok, enough rambling! Just wanted to share with everyone! Now for the long 5 month wait for it to come in!!!!!
