I am going to double that sentiment.
My student loans are the bane of my existence. I hate them. With a fiery passion.
OMG I thoroughly agree. :(
Oh - I hate mine too. But then I compare the interest rate of my student (or as I call it STUPID) loan to the interest rate of my car loan, I'm not so hateful toward my student loan. I have always planned to pay mine off by the time I turned 30 but that's not going to happen. Hopefully it will be paid off by the time I turn 31. Not too bad considering it was a 20 year loan.
HATE HATE HATE HATE my student loans. Is it 2026 when I will finally have paid it off...haha that is so depressing.
I don't even know when mine will be paid off, I have been paying on it for 8 years now, and it hasn't gone down much!!
UGH! Every month I daydream about what I could do with all that money I'm paying...grrr...
U guys sound like me..... the harrassing calls are so upsetting. They put u on a payment plan, then harass u everyday.... ugh......
omg seriously hate Sallie Mae! Making our lives a living hell!!!
Amen! It;s like thety will never go away. Althoguh, I do have to say that consolidating was the best. I went from paying almost $500 and month to 135$ a month and locked in an inetrest rate of 2.7%! I def recommend consolidating while the rates are low.
OMG! I totally agree. I feel like I'm never going to pay them off. I'm thankful for having a college education, but man... both FI and I have student loans and I feel like we'll be in debt forever. We need to win the lottery or something.
I HATE student loans with a passion too...for both my husband and myself. My husband graduated 3 months ago but during last semester was below part time, so he had to start paying back already. He has no job. 2 of his loan companies gave him an umemployment deferment. The one through Chase said they could not do anything for him unless he knew when he could start making payment again. Um...HELLO...he is unemployed. How the hell is he to know when he can start making payment again? Stupid loan company!!!
And then there are mine....$333 a month...and I am not even working in what I graduated in because it was a fraud school and nobody will hire anybody who graduated from there. So now I am back in school and will likely be wracking up MORE student loan debt to get a degree in something I can actually DO.
totally agree with everyone here.
@atackett...fraud school? what kind of school was it? and where?
