I'm an Apostle! Recap and Non-Pros (and a late sign off note)!!!!!!!!!
My late sign-off **I know I never got the chance to do a formal sign-off but an overwhelming thank you goes out to the women (and some men) of PW, the decisions are overwhelming, the details never end, and the importance of everything to the bride can drive someone insane- having this sounding board (literally) and the support of projectwedding made this amazing day possible and I cant wait to plan friends weddings and be a formally active member again. PW is a godsend, I love you guys.**
First off- I tried so hard, like, really really hard, to do so much in advance so I wouldnt be stressed for the wedding. That so completely did not work! The friday before the wedding we had a million and one things to do, all running errands and only one car to do it in. Our rehearsal dinner was hosted by my wonderful husbands(!!!!) family and was the perfect mix of formal and laid back. Everyone raved about the food, the location (which was the club house at their condo), the food and the 30 of us were able to take a break between dinner and dessert to watch the yankee game.
The wedding day!
I definitely did not sleep the night before. I tossed and turned, I hated being away from Greg, I had our dog with me but the room was so big that when I woke up to turn over and he wasnt there I panicked and went running through the suite, in the dark, no glasses, calling him.. he was curled up on an arm chair. and didnt even lift his head to acknowledge me.
The day went *relatively* smoothly once I got back, we went to the salon and everyones hair ended up perfect (I had the girls choose their own and it was definitely nice seeing everyone get to look like themselves), we grabbed a quick lunch (salad wraps with grilled chicken, yummy) and got to the venue about an hour late which left us really rushed for pictures but in the end it worked out nicely since I didnt want to overdo the posed stuff. I hadnt realized how anxious I had been all day until I finally got to see greg, all of a sudden all the stress melted away and we were just laughing and happy and loving our big day. From here on out we just went with the flow and things went swimmingly :)
walking out for our first look:
Our bridal party:
Signing the Ketubah was probably my favorite part of everything. The Rabbi had us read it out loud, switching off each line, with what we promise and expect from each other. This was the only time I got really emotional and ALMOST cried- im still shocked I didnt lose it all together. We were surrounded by our bridal party and parents, it was really nice to have such a special, intimate moment before the whirlwind:
Mr. & Mrs <3
These guys fell asleep almost immediately after this was taken and slept like rocks throughout the party- at least they looked cute!
Me and my beautiful sisters<3
Greg and I still cant believe how perfect everything was. Its amazing seeing all the hard work and planning result in such an amazing day with so many memories. I cant wait to post our professional pictures for you guys!
