I'M MARRIED! (with non-pro pics)
So I know I haven't been on much in the last few months, but I figured that those of you who were on here when I was first planning and when PW was basically my life would appreciate a recap. :) All of the pics in this post (except one) were taken by my dad or my uncle.
Thursday (the rehearsal day) was absolutely insane. I had gotten my nails done the previous weekend since I knew that between work and such I wouldn't have the time to get them done closer to the wedding. Well, the lady must not have been paying much attention, because by Tuesday they were lifting and breaking. Not pretty.
Thurs morning I went to town to pick up one of my bridesmaids from the greyhound station, then we all headed to the nail salon to get my nails repaired. After that, we ran to the nearby mall to meet the whole family (who came in from out of town) for lunch. Then it was off to the reception space to start decorating (and poofing about 200 tissue poms)!
The girls and an usher and me (far right) poofing poms.
We played with our poms. Instagram, FTW.
After that, we had the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The rehearsal was stressful because Stephen's family was like 20 minutes late, and I'm the type who needs EVERYTHING to be ON TIME. The dinner was fabulous, though!
After the dinner, my mom, me, my aunts, a few bridesmaids and my grandma all gathered in my hotel suite to put together the centerpieces (since we had hired a florist for bouquets and bouts, but not centerpieces). They turned out really well!
Friday I woke up in my private room in my suite, and went into the other room to find my maid of honor, one of my bridesmaids, and my little sister (my jr moh) already getting ready. Apparently, my phone/alarm clock had died in the night and I had overslept by half an hour. Oh well. I ended up having to wait patiently while they finished getting ready anyway since my sister was doing my makeup and my moh was doing my hair.
The rest of my girls arrived at 8:30, and everyone was on time. We all got ready together and the photog and my dad came and took pictures.
My MOH doing my hair
After we were all done getting ready, we headed out for pictures. First was the first look (those pics will come with pros in a few weeks). Then, the group shots. After this, we were actually running a half hour ahead of schedule! Yay! Then, we had lunch, and returned to the reception area to wait for the ceremony time.
The boys waiting for the ceremony
The ceremony went perfectly. It started two minutes early, it was short, and it was gorgeous. While walking me down the aisle, my photographer dad stopped me part way and took a photo!

Signing the license after the ceremony
After signing the license, I had to go to the bathroom. BAD. Since I have OCD and can't deal with park bathrooms (our wedding was in a park), we had to go to the nearest business, which happened to be the bank.
My MOH and I ran into the bank, bouquets in tow, and asked as quickly as possible if we could use their bathroom. We ran to the bathroom when they said yes. lol
Then, my husband and I entered the reception and shared our first dance. It was the most incredible thing. Dancing has always been one of those things for us--we really realize our love when we're close like that.
The reception was gorgeous with all of the lovely details. I have a few photos, but I'll share more when I have pros. :)
