I Said Yes to the Dress.. Again
Hey Ladies - just a Jane update :)
So I purchased a Maggie (Brielle) over a year ago after falling in love with a photo and then the sample.
When the actual dress arrived, it just wasn't the same. We went deep into alteratons to try to make it look the way I thought it looked when I tried on the sample - and the seamstress is just amazing - but it just never worked... something just seemed off. In the end, I think I just wasn't in love with it like I wanted to be. The sample is different then a brand new dress, so sometimes it just falls differently and is more springy.
I kind of broke down outside the boutique after my fitting today (about the seventh total) and, with seven weeks until the big day, my mother dragged me back into the boutique and had be try on dresses again. I immediately asked for the Kendra from Maggie. I hopped in it like there was no tomorrow and BAM... I FINALLY got the bridal feeling... and I finally cried out of joy instead of worry.
So I am still a Maggie bride! Just taking a different girl to the ball - Kendra! :)
The photos aren't great, but I don't even care. I'm just a happy girl.
It's certainly more simple than the brielle, but I feel more like a woman and more like a BRIDE! It makes me excited for the FI to see me, rather than worry if he will like the gown or not.
