Ideas needed: creative add-in for invitation

Helloooooo PW ladies!

I'm helping a bride with her wedding, and she asked me to do a little research into custom cocktail umbrellas to include in her wedding invitations (she wants to have something like "eat, drink, and be married" printed on them). Unfortunately, the only source I've been able to find (through Alibaba) is in China and has a minimum order of 1000 @ $0.70 each. Yikes.

I've recommended straws with flags on them, but would like to pick your collective brains for other fun ideas. Whatever it is, it has to fit well into an invitation.

TIA, ladies!

How about maybe some custom letterpress coasters with the message on them?

It is tricky, right? She wants something fun and unexpected, which is the challenge.

I'll throw the coasters her way and see what she thinks. Other ideas still welcome!

hmmmm.... what about a drink recipe (custom cocktail designed for them and whatnot)/drink coupon for the actual wedding? You know, then if it does have eat drink and be married on the invite, you can put on the drink recipe/coupon "And here is the first one on us!" That's really all I got, but I know everyone loves a free drink, and if they are having a bar, it is a good way to do something they are alreading including in the way of cost... (and perhaps point out she only has to pay for those that actually show up and use them, in terms of the drink...)
