IKEA

So... I went to Ikea today and almost went crazy. I did hold it together and bought only neccesities. There was tons of candles for super low prices. I bought a couple differant types and I am going to try them before deciding on going with those. I bought the baskets for the bathroom, for about $14 and its good nice and cute. There was more but I won't bore u!

I know a lot of you have been talking about square vases and they were selling the small size for about $2.

I just had to share my good buys because I was so excited. HAppy Planning!!

FI and I just tested one of the candles - it lasted about an hour and ten minutes.

Side candle story/warning - we bought the colored Tindra tealights to use in clear glass tealight holders, but (duh!!) I just realized that the candles aren't in clear cups, so nobody will actually see the color! haha so then FI cut off the metal on one of the candles, but only the top is actually dyed! the rest is just the normal white color.  so just a FYI for anyone else if this happens to them :)

I bought the tapers box says Jubla. 20 for $2.99 I burned it for 3 hrs I had to get some sleep but it only burned about a 1/4 of the candle. It burned evenly and clear on the glass around it. I put it in a vase with sand and shells. It actually turned out nice so i will be using them for my wedding.

Hey everyone, update on the burn time for the Ikea Tindra tealights - so, the first one FI and I burned, it was the one that had the metal cup cut off (that's when we realized they weren't colored all the way).  Sooo..  I ordered some other ones online and we are conducting another test.  They're still going, but it's been well over an hour and a half and the Ikea candle's still trucking along... I guess if you take the metal cup off it doesn't last as long. hahaha.

I'll update when they're done.  For what it's worth - the ones I bought online (www.toadilyhandmade.com) are of a significantly higher quality than the Ikea ones, and it's very obvious while they're burning - the flame is much brighter and it burns much cleaner than the Ikea candles.  Not sure how picky everyone is about their candle flames, but there it is :)

Haha.. okay, I'm sleepy so I'm going to sleep now.  I just blew out the candles - both burned for over 3 hours and not all of the wax was gone, so I think they could have definitely burned for another 15-20 minutes at least.
