Sorry, I'm not quite sure I understand, but if you're asking whether you should try to finish everything in a hurry or postpone until next year, I would say it's up to you with how stressed you want to be/how bad you want to have the big day this year vs. next year. If you are really stressed, I would probably suggest postponing it, but make sure you space out your diys so it doesn' come up next year and you're stressing again. So give yourself some time, but make sure you plan accordingly for all your projects!! Hope that helped.

I agree with Uhlease, whether you are stressed due to the date creeping up on you or because you have to devote all your time to your son, I think you should give yourself plenty of time all the way around. Focus on your family, do what you have to do, and work on your yard and wedding planning as you can. If you start planting things now, they could look decent by the end of August and/or you could buy already flowering rose bushes to help dress the yard up. But if you decide to push the date back, which IMO would make you much less stressed, then your yard would have more time to grow into what you want and you can still add other flowering ornamentation as you need to.

Good luck!

I agree 2014 would give you enough time to get everything the way you want it without rushing. Keep us posted on your son.

I agree with Jan 100%. Your mind and thoughts are where they should be focused on, your precious son. And your vow renewal means the world to you!

I say postpone it. I had to move mine to 2015 because my daughter decided to get married 6 1/2 months before I was going to be married.

Tress and flowers need time to root and settle in before becoming mature...that could take years. What flowers and trees do you plan on planting, keep in mind that tress are perennials which means they bloom for only a short time and then you have to wait until the following year to see those blooms again, not everything will be in bloom in August...for instance a Cherry tree, very showy, and gorgeous in full bloom, but they only bloom in early spring, then they move onto leaves. I suggest if you want those flowers fast, to plant annuals. Annuals live for one year only but they bloom all the way until they die, if you plant them now and remember to fertilize they will be very showy by August. Do you currently have any trees in your yard? if yes, you  get hanging baskets of flowers to suspended off branches, or if not, maybe you can enlist a couple of handy friends to build a few arbors around the yard and hang flowers from that. You can hang/ wrap trees, arbors and any other structures in white Christmas lights and hang sheer white fabric around the yard as well. Do you have any photos of your yard? I'm sorry to hear about your son, I hope he gets better soon, and I hope this has helped you a bit.
