In desperate need hair growing advice.... sorry if I posted 2x!

Hey Ladies,

I am getting married in July 2009, and yes it seems like I have time but my hair takes forever to grow! I want it to be a lot longer for my wedding- yes I know it will only grow so much and I know extensions and such are an option. However, I was wondering if anyone has any advice on maybe vitamins or deep conditioning treatments that have helped their hair to grow. Any advice at all will be appreciated!!

I've asked around and heard two stories. I've heard there is really nothing you can do but keep up a healthy routine and I've also heard taking prenatals helps. I'm a sucker for an option so I've been taking prenatal vitamins for about 2 months now. I don't think it's made my hair grow faster but it sure has helped with the thickness and the breakage. I guess in the long run it's a bit longer since it doesn't break off as much. I talked to my Dr. about it before starting since I was in there for a cold anyway. He said not to get my hopes up but give it a try and just to make sure I ate with them since some people get an upset stomach. Good luck!!

My hair dressers offers a deep conditioning treatment. He did it to a bride who is bleach blonde, and has been for years. He says it worked really well. I try to do a weekly hair mask, don't laugh :) I use Momo products and absolutely love them. I've been searching for great products for years that moisturize and keep my hair healthy. Literally after I do the mask and use my products my hair feels like I just left the salon.

While these aren't the miracle cure they really help keep your healthy to grow.

I don't know of anything that grows hair BUT Omega 3 fish oils are really beneficial for skin and hair. I take the supplements and my hair grows like a weed- though I attribute that largely to genetics! but try it, it can't hurt

I don't know if there's any treatment. I cut my hair once a year. I chopped it all off (above chin) then by next year it will be just above my waist. They say products and treatment damage hair and disrupt growth. Maybe it's true since I don't blow dry or dye my hair. I just use shampoo and conditioner.

If you dye your hair...maybe you can grow it out and try air drying your hair for a little while.
