So I found a few photographers i love .. I let Fi know the prices $2,000-5k (he's paying most of the wedding cost , traditionally the man pays ) so he says umm no we can get his cousin to take the pictures for free & isntagram the filter we want LOL omg why do men not get somethings are worth the splurge.

Bless his heart. I hope he was joking...or at least I hope you were able to shut that down in a hurry. Shopping for a wedding photographer can provide major sticker shock, but it really is worth it to hire the best professional photographer you can afford. :)

As a professional photographer I can tell you that instagram is not a great resource for wedding photography. As a matter of fact if your going to spend $2k on a photographer I would encourage you to have a "unplugged wedding" I am and I don't care how pissed off my guests are. I am simply including a link on our invites that explains what and why. And instead of having programs I am printing out the article and placing them on the seats of the ceremony. I will post a link to the article for all of you. The post title will be "Unplugged wedding link" Happy planning

The photographer was the one area we splurged on and I SO glad we did! I kind of miss not having a cool wedding  video like I've seen so many  brides do, but we just couldn't justify the expense of a videographer...turns out you don't need one if you have an awesome photographer like we did!! We have over 1300 pictures of the day, they are absoutely beautiful and you can really relive each moment through them. I would gently suggest he reconsider!!

Professional photographers really know how to use photoshop. They can adjust the lighting and filters and make the photos look so much better then the 10 filters insta gives you lol So worth it!
