Invitation Question

PW Girls, I need your help. FI and I are in the process of ordering our invitations. We are going to do it pocketfold style. I want to include information on the directions, accomodations, RSVP, and reception information. Should I order a card for each? If so, isn't that too much? We also want to add our registry information and website. We want to avoid using the macy's/target paper. If you have any suggestions on how to keep the cards to a minimum of 3, please let me know! TIA!

maybe make one of the cards "Information" and put all of your accomodation, directions, etc on your website....and your Information card will direct them to the website....the more you put in the more it costs to mail!

Is you reception at the same location as your ceremony?  If so, you can just put "Reception to follow" at the bottom of the invitation.  If not, then you'll need a separate card.  What about putting the directions on one card and at the bottom of that same card, putting something along the lines of "For more information on accommodations, local attractions, and registries, please visit our wedding web site at www.futuremrsb.com...?  That would get ride of the accommodations card.  That way you would have an RSVP card, a directions and info card, and a reception card (if it isn't at the same place).

Look at my invite in my bio...one of the PW'ers (abattyref) made the map for me which we included info like the map, hotels, and wedding website that had all our registry info...I also heard it was bad etiquette to put your actual registry info in the invite so that can be a sly way of doing it!

I printed our RSVPs cards at home using the same stock as my invites.

Since we're doing online RSVPs, it directed people to our website where there is information on the ceremony, accommodations, transportation, registries, etc.

I included all of the things you talked about in our Invite. I even included a detailed Menu that I made myself. I received all of our RSVP's with Thank yous for including all of the information. Nobody was left to wonder what the wedding would intail.  Besides. Some people said it was cool to receive a whole little package instead of just the little invite and rsvp.

Invite, RSVP, Menu, Reception dirrections, Ceremony directions, "In lieu of gift registry" card.  All in the little Sleves of our envelopes.  Better all than to miss something.
