Invitations!

When did invitations become so difficult? I thought all I had to order were invites and RSVP cards now there are reception cards and accomadation cards too! What the heck!
Does it look bad to put on the bottom of the invite that the reception is to follow?
Anyone have a secret website theyd like to share with me on where to find cheap ones!?!? To be honest I dont really care about the invites obviously i dont want something ugly but I also dont want to be spending 300 dollars on invitations when there are so many other things i could spend that on! Do you think its cheaper to make them your self or in the long run do you think its actually more? UGH, TOO many decisions! lol HELP!

Lots of ladies used Vistaprint and they had really good results, I made my own. I also made a website that gave everyone all the 'other stuff' they might need

What are reception cards?

What sort of thing are you looking for? Maybe I can help you find something

Well I've always seen you just put the info on the invite but now everyone I look at has a reception card where you don't put the info on the invite. I don't really care if it has a reception card or not I'm kinda just looking for anything cheap. I'll try vistaprint I didn't know they did invites thanks!

 Oh ok.

I did those for my brother & SIL, but they had pocket-fold invites with the invite, reception details, RSVP and accommodation info on separate inserts.

I don't think there's any problem with 'reception to follow at ..........' on an invitation - but I also don't care about all the etiquette rules that are still floating around!!! Lol. All I cared about was making our day special and meaningful for us.

If you don't have any luck with Vistaprint let me know and I'll see what else I can find for you xx

Sorry I'm a little late to post, but we just ordered our invites from Vista print. We got beautiful invites matching envelopes and seals. It only cost $90 with shipping, but we only ordered 40 and are only expecting about 70 guests, so our party is a little small.  I didn't realize all the stationary and paper goods that you can have at a wedding either. Placement cards, menus, RSVP cards, declination cards, thank you cards, save the dates, reminders of the dates, registry notes, registry reminders. Fiance thinks it's just a big conspiracy to get more money out of us and kill trees!

 It's crazy isn't it Kuppy13??

Thats another reason that we did our website - I'm a bit of a tree-hugged so the thought of all that paper being used was playing on my conscience.

Im glad you were happy with your Vistaprint order though!! It's been a while since I've seen any from their so I was worried that I was giving dodgy advice!

We are using inviteshop. com. We got 100 save the dates and envelops for under $90.00 for our invitations and rsvp cards and thank you cards, we are looking at like 250 for everything. Worth a try and look! :)

If you wanted to print your own I would check out: www.weddingchicks.com

www.123print.com seems to be pretty popular on forums too.
