how's your invite process coming along? when do you plan to send them out, and when are you requesting an RSVP?
Ours are printed out, and we're going to start assembling them the first week of March. We're probably going to send some out the last week of March, definetely the first week of April (a lot of our friends are students and need lots of notice!). Our RSVP's are for May 20th, for our June 5th wedding, so two weeks.
Wow Mrs.P2be - if you are thinking 2 months is a lot time then I must be giving people TONS of time! Our wedding if June 5th as well and I am sending them out mid March and asking for RSVP's May 1st.
Amy--Our venue only needs catering confirmation 48 hours in advance, and our list is onlt about 120. Plus, most of our friends are Facebook addicts, so I know we could track them down easily enough for a response:)
I'm working on them now. I'll send them out 2-3 months before the wedding (June 12th), and our RSVP date is May 15th.
I haven´t had time to think about the invitations yet. We invite only closest relatives and friends (max 20 person) and we're probably going to send them out the last week of April and RSVP date is May 31.
They are printed.... I'll address them next month and send them out... late April. No RSVP
Ours are printed, we will probably assemble them soon and sending them out March 15, RSVP date will be May 15. Wedding date is June 26, 2010. We want to have time to invite other people if we get a lot of decline's.
First of all... Tgrib, I am so jealous of you. SO jealous. I would love to have a very small wedding. (we have 200 for the ceremony).
Secondly, I think we might make our invites, instead of having them made. (And by "we," I mean, "me." ha ha ha!) Our wedding is June 5, so I would like the invites sent out at the beginning of March, with an RSVP date May 5.
Is anyone else making invitations, or are you all buying/ordering yours?
I have to order mine still!! i should do this soon!!
I don't have an rsvp date. but this helps to give me an idea. we need to give caterer final 2 weeks before so that is june 4 since our wedding is june 18.
looks like i should be sending out invitations end of march? so rsvp may20 ?? help?
Yellowsteph...Omg, 200 :)
We don´t like big parties and i would like to chat with everybody during my wedding. So we are going to invite only our parents, sisters, grandparents, best friends - they really care! And after all - we are cold Scandinavians anyway :) :)
I think I´m going to make our invitations by myself, I have some art skills :)
I really want to get our invitations printed and assembled (I'm DIYing them) soon because I hate having it hanging over my head but we won't know until April where we are getting married! My FI is in the process of getting his marriage annuled through the Catholic Church so if that happens in time we'll get married there and if not we'll get married at the Lutheran church. I wanted to get them done and sent out soon so I could figure out the seating chart... but it's good to know that a lot of you are waiting a little longer... maybe I was jumping the gun!
my FI's parents just told us that they need 70 invites!!!!
I am jealous of you too, tigrib. Ooh... I'd love to have a small wedding. Instead, our guest list is 290 as of now.
Anyway, I have ordered my invites and they'll arrive early next week. I'll send them out the first 2 weeks of March as we did not send STD's. The RSVP date would be May 5th, to give us enough time to call the slackers who didn't RSVP by then. ;)
sending them out today!
Wow... I'm June 5th too! We were thinking about sending them out the first week of March and having an RSVP deadline of May 5th. The reason we're doing it so early is because we know some of our guests are going to wait until after that deadline to RSVP anyway so at least if we give them some sort of deadline, we can guage how many people are coming!
date: june 26th
send out invites: mid march
rsvp by: mid may
I made ours (still need to post photos on here for you!) and sent them out a few weeks ago with the RSVP for April 2. Having a destination wedding with no children so needed to give people plenty of time to organise time off work, accommodation and baby sitters. We also need to give the venue 50% of the balance 60 days before the wedding with the balance 30days out which is non-refundable if people pull out so need to get the numbers sorted before then. Glad I was organised though and did it all when I did as I ended up in hospital for almost 2 weeks and am now on bed rest pretty much until the wedding so being organised pays off!
