Is anyone buying a gift for her boss? If so, what are you buying?
I did! There are only three of us employees here so we went in for a pocket knife inscribed with his birth verse, and for his wife a nice necklace and earring set from Chico's.
I am desperate for ideas, too!
I have been working with my boss for 6+ years now, so all of my creative ideas have already been used up in prior years!
We send care packages back and forth since she lives in Australia, but her Christmas package included some peppermint hot cocoa mix (they don't have it down there) and a few otherthings, as well as a Smores Kit since she'd never even had them until about 2 months ago.
Not really. I do bake a ton of holiday cookies, so I'll probably put together a plate of those for him. As a teacher, it's not like I get a Christmas bonus or gift or anything from him, so it's not really expected.
As for our department chair, the 14 other English teachers and I like to chip to buy her a gift certificate to a store she really likes: sometimes for a hobby, sometimes for clothes. Every year she buys us a little gourmet chocolate and makes a donation in our names, so it's a nice trade off. Plus, she's a great chair! We really do appreciate her :)
I am not this year...but in years past I have done this:
I don't even know. We have like four days before we head off on break and I haven't done any co-worker shopping. We did a work Secret Santa, and maybe I'll make some cookies (or some MINI CUPCAKES) but yeah.
I should probably be gift-y to maybe my dept. head, but I rarely honestly see many other of my co-workers during the day...alas.
not this year but usually it was chocolates or wine or nice treats :)
Hope this helps!
We're (my co-workers and I) all pitching in for a gift this year, but we haven't decided what yet. Possibly going to pay for him and his wife to go skiing or snowboarding for a day.
I might give him some homemade goodies I've prepped for the holidays. He's such a hardworker and I want to give him a little sugar rush, haha.
