Hello there wonderful PW ladies! I’ve missed each and every single one of you terribly! I am so glad to be back after a wonderful honeymoon in Vegas! <3 I’m going to TRY to keep this short….but I don’t know if that will happen. Sorry in advance if it doesn’t ;) hehehe
Friday – July 20th; Well, I did my sign off that morning right before I started getting ready for my bridesmaids luncheon. It was amazing. My aunt threw it for me along with her 2 son’s girlfriends. I felt so loved, and special that they did that for me! We talked, played a few games, and ate. Then after that I changed into my comfy clothes and headed out to the venue and started decorating! It didn’t take us long because there really wasn’t much to decorate since the phoenix is already beautiful. After a few hours of decorating my MIL order pizza and we ate them decided to rap it up for the night. Since the only thing left to do was a few outside things and then finish up DJ’s cake table.
Saturday – July 21st; Got up about 8 to get ready for my nail appointment with all my bridesmaids and mothers. Since me and a few other girls got finished before some of the others me and my MOH headed to the bridals house to get Colton, (MOH nephew) fitted for his TUX. He was all happy and smiles running around waiting for his mom to get there (Jaclyn my BM) and right as we went to put on his little tux he through a fit and was screaming, kicking, crying…but after he got his little fuss out he was good to go! After that we headed to lunch and met up with the other BM’s and MIL. (This day seemed to be draggggggging on and on) ahaha, after lunch I headed to my house to grab all the things I needed since I was staying at the phoenix. All of my BM’s got ready together and then at 5 rehearsal dinner started, I was there but still a little late to my own party – (oops. I was upstairs and it was only like 5 minutes.) Rehearsal dinner went great, everyone watched as we practiced (out of town guest/family) We ate and did our speech. It was a little emotional. And then after that everyone and the guys started leaving and us girls started our girls night! Of course after I finished doing last minute touches and decorating. We headed up stairs and started playing Apples to Apple’s. (fun game) I was so exhausted that I started to fall asleep!! So I got up and took a shower, by the time I got out they had the game put away and ready for bed too! ZzZzZzZzZ (it was already 11 almost 12 o’clock)
SUNDAY – JULY 22nd – MY big day has finally arrived! Morgan’s(MOH) mother showed up about 8:00 to start everyone’s hair. Karlie got there a little bit afterwards at about 8:30 to start make-up! DJ’s mother went first that way she could go ahead and leave because DJ went to church that morning with the family. I was the last to get make-up and hair so I went and sat on the balcony to write a letter to DJ in his bible his sister gotten us. (And he wrote in mine) I was so nervous writing in his bible because I did not want to mess up…. Well you can see my nervousness in my handwriting so I took a little break to breath; after I finished I went to the ceremony spot to start decorating that which only took seriously about 10 minutes not even. About 10:00 Jaclyn showed up with subway sandwiches!! Yummy! We took a break to eat and then I got my hair in rollers and then was just relaxing until it was my time with make-up. It was about 12:00 when I finally was able to get my make up done. I was supposed to be ready by 1:30. I wasn’t ready until about 2! OOOPS. My photographer showed up a little earlier than expected to which was totally okay but it make me feel rushed because I wasn’t ready at all. Got my make up, hair and dressed at about 2:15ish? Still fine. It was Ahh-ohhh-kkkkk, hahaha (I was actually a little bitchy tho) After getting some pictures of myself, and with my BM’s. Mothers, brothers, etc, I headed next door to Bruce’s and Ken’s house to hide from DJ about 2:50-3. Morgan’s mom and karlie came for last minute touches and then it was just hiding in the room until DJ walked his mother down the aisle. Once he did that I was able to come out and look outside. I was SHOCKED to see that ALL the chairs were filled and on both sides more people were standing around. Holy smokes I was so happy, but i wasn't even nervous yet? Crazy! Then before I knew it, it was time. Time for me to walk down with my da! Right when I seen DJ he was whipping tears away from his eyes. I will never forget that moment we locked eyes. It was magical. And it wasn’t until I got all the way to him and held DJ’s hands when I actually got really nervous! Everyone couldn’t believe how calm I was; on the other hand DJ was so nervous he was sweating his butt off! Lol, The weather was wonderful, it was a beautiful blue sky and the sun was shinning through the clouds, it was PERFECT. Everything little bit of it! After the ceremony it was fun fun fun after that. We ate, danced, drank, released balloons for the memory of my FIL and then partied the night away by the end of the night half of the wedding party including DJ went swimming in the pond after all the guest left! It was…sooo funny.
Bruce and Ken are absolutely wonderful. (The owners of the phoenix) If it wasn’t for them my wedding wouldn’t of been as amazing as it was. I thank them sooo much for that. Bruce told me the night before the wedding:. “If anything goes wrong tomorrow I wont tell you until Monday!” Sounded great to me! Monday came around and he said:, “You know I said I’d tell you today if anything went wrong? . . . .Nothing that I can think of went wrong” …I was so happy to hear that!
When people say something always goes wrong I will not believe them. It was perfect, everything I ever dreamed of. Okay, I’m starting to mumble now. SORRY<3 hehehe, thanks for reading.
P.S. pictures coming soon!
